3461scene1
SCENE 1 Gordon is taking Miles, Telly, Rosita, and Elmo hiking in the park. Telly can’t keep up because his pack is too heavy. The contents of his backpack include soap in case he falls in the mud, a tent in case it rains, a flashlight in case he wants to look in dark places, binoculars, a whistle, and a dictionary in case he wants to look up a word. Everyone takes one thing from Telly’s pack to lighten the load. Elmo thinks it’s silly to pack a tent, but Telly disagrees.
