At the Fix-it Shop, Luis welcomes the viewer to Sesame Street, and explains that they're about to watch the Worm World Music Festival on TV (they couldn't get tickets in time) - but first, Maria makes sure the remote works. She turns the TV on, and they watch the live coverage.

The festival is covered on WormTV by Downtown Julie Brown, who introduces the bands who will be performing today: the Tokyo Worm Quartet from Japan, Gooey Armstrong from New Orleans, Gloria Esteworm from Cuba, Wormsmith Black Mambazo from Africa, and Squiggy Marley and the Mud Makers from Jamaica. However, her favorite group, Slimey and the Polka worms, have not shown up yet. Where could they be?
