SCENE 1 | Big Bird greets the viewer from his nest, where he's playing a game of tic-tac-toe with the Big Bad Wolf. Big Bird wins when he forms three Os in a row, but when the Wolf finds out he loses, he reveals his angry side and blows the game away. This makes Big Bird upset, but the Wolf promises not to make his mistake again and requests to play the game again.
SCENE 1 cont'd | The Wolf has gathered all the Xs and Os and has Big Bird go first, since he won. Big Bird reminds the Wolf to keep his promise as he lays down the first piece.
Cartoon | African quilt pattern #1 (EKA: Episode 3145)
SCENE 2 | Big Bird wins the game again, prompting the Big Bad Wolf (despite keeping his promise) to lose his temper, and Big Bird unsuccessfully tries to stop him as he blows the game away again. Big Bird starts to leave for something else, but the Wolf pleas for him to stay, explaining that his huffing and puffing is a natural trait of his and is hard to control. He asks for Big Bird to give him a minute while he sobs and thinks of something.
SCENE 3 | The Big Bad Wolf has come up with a poem as a solution to his anger, which he recites for Big Bird. He thinks it's worth a try, so they play another round of the game. Big Bird wins yet again, which makes the Wolf recite his poem over and over. Big Bird thinks it's working, but when the Wolf mentions the word "lost", he immediately reverts back to huffing and puffing and sends the game flying again. Big Bird goes to think of a solution of his own, leaving the Wolf in despair over what he's done.
Animation | Rubber Stamp #10 (EKA: Episode 3037)
Muppets | Zoe is about to draw the number 10, but she only knows how to draw lines. Elmo doesn't know how to draw a 10 either, but he is good at making circles. An ominous voice advises them to cooperate. (EKA: Episode 3390)
SCENE 4 | Big Bird returns with a way he thinks will stop the Wolf's temper: having the Wolf use the Os instead of the Xs. This becomes problematic when the Wolf can't even find a spot on the board to place the first O.
Animation | Amelia likes to pretend she can fly. (EKA: Episode 2902)
SCENE 5 | Back at the game, Big Bird starts to place his X on a winning spot, but he distracts the Wolf and places it on an adjacent spot instead to keep him from losing. The Wolf sees he has three Os and has a brief thrill of victory, but becomes suspicious that Big Bird helped him win. He eventually realizes he lost, but doesn't huff and puff the game away...he instead goes to blow Big Bird's door down!
Film / Animation | Circles of all kinds are displayed as funky rap music plays. (EKA: Episode 3126)
SCENE 6 | Big Bird brings the Wolf back to show him another way of dealing with agony without huffing or puffing โ expressing anger. The Wolf likes this method better and joins another round of the game, hopeful he'll lose (just so he can try out Big Bird's idea).
SCENE 6 cont'd | The Wolf loses again of course, and he leashes out his anger instead of blowing away the game, to his and Big Bird's satisfaction. The Wolf reveals he also huffs and puffs whenever he's happy, and proceeds to blow the tic-tac-toe set away again! Big Bird announces the sponsors in vain, while the Wolf leaves to tell his mom about his day.
