Picture Segment Description

SCENE 1 Telly bounces on his pogo stick with Lexine and another girl, as today is "Pogo Sticking Day." Baby Bear observes the festivities and wants to join, only he doesn't know how (Telly's past lesson didn't sink in very well). Telly offers to teach him, but Baby Bear would prefer to learn from his idol - Papa Bear. Sure enough, Papa Bear shows up and would be glad to teach Baby Bear. He just has one question: what's a pogo stick?
Song "The First Time" - Children try various activities (riding tricycles, tying shoes, etc.) and progressively improve.

SCENE 2 Papa Bear doesn't think he can teach Baby Bear to pogo, since he himself doesn't even know how. He doesn't think he can learn, brushing it off as a "kid thing," but sees even Gina can do it. She and the kids show Papa Bear how they can pogo so he can get the right idea.
Cartoon In the "Land of No Shoelaces", people find it difficult to play basketball, swing, and run, until Edna Lovelace comes along.

SCENE 3 Gina walks Papa Bear through each step of using a pogo stick. He stumbles at first, but finds his balance. He then tries to bounce, using so much force that he flies high into the air and lands with a crash. Papa Bear doesn't think he can continue, but Baby Bear's hero worship encourages to least, until Papa Bear recovers from his headache.

SCENE 4 Telly still thinks it would be easier if he taught Baby Bear, but he tells Telly that even if it takes "a million-billion-gazillion" years, he will learn it from Papa Bear. Gina suggests he bounce softer this time, but Papa Bear has trouble staying up for more than a couple of bounces. Baby Bear encourages him to keep trying and soon, Papa Bear is able to bounce around without falling. But now, he doesn't know how to stop ("Stop the pogo insanity!").
Cartoon The word "GO" races down the street.
(EKA: Episode 3347)

SCENE 5 Gina is able to stop Papa Bear's wild pogoing and he decides to quit, since Gina can't be around all the time to help him stop. He suggests his son learn from Gina or Telly, but Baby Bear sticks with his Papa. He tells them all that if Papa Bear quits, he does too and leaves. Papa Bear doesn't want to disappoint his son and decides to keep going. He asks everyone how you stop - you just jump off! Papa Bear practices and can do it! He pogos off to find his son.
Song "Jump" (soul)
(First: Episode 3136)

SCENE 6 Papa Bear catches up to his son and shows how well he can pogo now. Baby Bear knew he could do it and sings "My Papa Bear." Papa Bear begins to teach Baby Bear how to ride, but finds his son is a born natural. Everyone pogos around the street as Papa Bear announces the sponsors.
