Picture Segment Description

SCENE 1 Telly is practicing his tuba in the Arbor, and has declared today as "Tuba Day," meaning he only wants to practice his tuba and not be involved with anything else. Carlo notices Rosita listening to him in awe, and admits how Telly's pretty important to her. He suggests telling him how important he is, so Rosita walks up to Telly and tells him, but afterwards thinks it wasn't enough. She decides to show him something more to express his importance and heads off.
SCENE 2 Rosita returns with flowers and a basket of fruit, which she thinks is the perfect way to show Telly their friendship. She presents them to him, but he's more interested in practicing his tuba and says to "just put them anywhere" before resuming practicing. Rosita thinks he still doesn't understand his importance to her and thinks of another method.

SCENE 3 Rosita comes up with another way – singing. She runs up and sings to him "You're Important," backed up by a mariachi band. Telly strongly assures he understands that he's important to her (to Rosita's delight) and returns to practicing, hopeful he won't be interrupted again.

SCENE 4 Telly's still practicing when Rosita comes she wants to hear from Telly's side if there's anything he feels is important to him. He firmly states that his tuba, practicing, and getting better at it are all important to him, but especially practicing alone. Rosita asks if there's anything else, but he says nothing else is important to him, causing Rosita to walk away in shame.
SCENE 5 Rosita returns as Telly finishes his practicing session. Now free, he invites her to visit the park, but she refuses and declares in a twist on the "You're Important" song that he's not important to her anymore. Telly gets concerned and runs off to find her.

SCENE 6 Telly finds Rosita alone at the park and asks why she's upset. She rants about how Telly's tuba is all that's important to him, but he butts in to counter that Rosita is also important. She's not convinced, but after Telly proceeds to sing and play the song on his tuba, Rosita forgives him, and they both sing the song together. Carlo announces the sponsors nearby, while Telly jokes to bring his tuba on the see-saw.
