COLD OPEN Big Bird presents the sponsors, then meets Guntag Gelman-Jones, who will be showing off his flea circus today by the Furry Arms.

SCENE 1 Guntag's show begins, having attracted a small crowd. Humphrey and Ingrid are impressed as Sherry Netherland accurate predicts which acts will occur (including a trapeze and tightrope act), revealing she's reading the program. It next reads "DUCK!," cueing them to take cover as the cannonball act begins.

SCENE 2 Inside the hotel, Humphrey is disappointed the circus didn't have the types of acts regular circus have. He was especially looking forward to Guntag stick his head in a flea's mouth. Benny Rabbit and others point out it'd be impossible, so the monsters perform the act on each other (and Guntag). After failing, they find Benny's mouth is the right size and a chase ensues.

SCENE 3 Guntag leaves for awhile, putting Humprhey and Ingrid in charge of the fleas. To keep them safe, they decide to put them there (across from the desk), but start fumbling all over the lobby when there turns into here. Benny intervenes and the box ends up falling, releasing the fleas. Soon, everyone is itching.
SCENE 4 Benny has a solution to clear the fleas away, but Miss Netherland silences him. She asserts that they should take turns brainstorming and since she's the boss, she shall go first. She recites a poem to the fleas (similar to "Trees"), which doesn't work. She calls for Humphrey and Ingrid's turn next.
SCENE 5 Humphrey and Ingrid's idea is to use a butterfly net to catch the fleas. They only succeed in trashing the hotel and bothering the guests. Finally, it's Benny's turn and he rushes out of the hotel.

SCENE 6 Benny returns with bug expert Roxie Marie, armed with her book - "Know Your Fleas." She finds to get them back in their box, all she has to do is yell, "Hey, fleas! Get back in the box!" The fleas do so and Roxie leaves. Miss Netherland accidentally knocks over the box, releasing the fleas. While everyone scratches and tries to remember the phrase, Benny announces the sponsors.
