COLD OPEN "And here she is, the one you've all been waiting for...Sally Messy Yuckyael!" Oscar and Grundgetta are guests on the Sally Messy Yuckyael show, where today's topic is "Grouches who love too much."

SCENE 1 "And now, unfortunately for you, back to our show" Sally announces that today's guests are two Grouches, one of whom fell in love with the other. Oscar admits that it was him, and begins to tell the story of how it happened: this morning, he and Grundgetta were having their usual morning argument, when "Suddenly, I started hearing this yucky, sweet violin music ... and then my heart was going pitty-pat, pitty-pat ... I couldn't even nyah-nyah-nyah-nyah-nyeahhh..." Grundgetta: "He just kept looking at me with those gah-gah eyes and then he said it!" Sally: "What?" Oscar: "Grundgetta I ... I love you!"
Back in the present, the Grouch audience is in shock at this story. Oscar and Grundgetta argue over who suffered more from it, while Sally tells us to stay tuned for more.

SCENE 2 "And now, despite your better intentions, back to our show!" Oscar and Grundgetta continue with their story, which picks up at the part when Oscar sang "Love in the Junkyard" to Grundgetta who can't believe Oscar's singing her a love song.

After the song, Grundgetta refused to meet Oscar in the moonlight in the junkyard. Unfortunately for her, he had to show her how much he loved her right at his trash can. Then to do so, he actually kissed Grundgetta! This amount of detail is so disgusting that Sally calls for another break.

SCENE 3 "And now back to the Sally Messy Yuckyael show!" Grundgetta reveals how she made Oscar stop loving her: she invited him to a romantic dinner at a nice little bistro. While there, she kissed him, which made him angry. Everyone is relieved that the nightmare is now over. Sally asks Oscar if it's really over or if he'll fall in love again. Oscar says he's just taking it 1 day at a time. Grundgetta warns him that she'll kiss him if he ever falls in love with her again. Then they start arguing again, and Sally announces another break.

SCENE 4 "Oh, still here, eh? Well, back to the Sally Messy Yuckyael show!" Oscar and Grundgetta continue arguing, when all of a sudden she hears violin music, and she becomes attracted to Oscar! She tells Oscar to kiss her (Sally: "On my show? What are ya tryin to do, raise my ratings?"), and Oscar reluctantly does so. Grundgetta returns to normal and gets angry at Oscar for kissing her. (Oscar: "Hey, ya told me to kiss ya!" Grundgetta: "So if I told ya to jump off a bridge would ya?") They continue arguing, while Sally announces the sponsors and signs off.
