Picture Segment Description
SCENE 1 Bob helps Big Bird clean up his nest for an upcoming visit from Granny Bird today. She phones him with some bad news: her plane has been delayed and she may not make it at all. Big Bird gets sad, when Bob leaves to fetch something that should cheer him up.

SCENE 2 Bob returns with a copy of Raffi's Five Little Ducks, which he reads to Big Bird. His spirits are lifted, until he realizes Granny Bird would've loved the story, reminding him of her absence.

SCENE 3 Bob paces the floor, thinking of some way to cheer Big Bird up. Carlo happens by and believes he has a solution - play the "Crying Game." The upbeat song wipes away Big Bird's blues, but replaces it with anger over the situation instead.
Cartoon A little boy describes a time when he got angry after his toy truck was destroyed by a big kid.

SCENE 4 Big Bird is still fed up over Granny Bird flaking out on him, when Bob tells him that it's okay to be angry. Big Bird asks to be left alone for a moment; he prefers to let out his anger that way.
SCENE 4 cont'd Bob steps outside the nest, when Big Bird starts yelling some anger-fueled gibberish. Suddenly, Granny Bird arrives, having caught another flight. Big Bird isn't ready to see her, as he's still angry, so Granny Bird leaves. Big Bird, now feeling better, realizes she's gone and throws another fit.

SCENE 5 Big Bird vents his frustrations to Bob, when Granny Bird returns. She's assembled a group of violin-playing penguins to orchestrate a song for her grandson. She sings that if when they're apart, they can sing the song and be reminded of each other. The two birds reconcile and go to play a game of football.
