Picture Segment Description
SCENE 1 Big Bird greets the viewer, when he hears the sound of a wolf. It turns out to be none other than the greatest actor in the world, Sir John Feelgood! He then pretends to be a chicken (a role he recently played in A Chicken for All Seasons), but finds he can't stop pretending! Big Bird goes to get an idea and Sir John eyes a tasty worm on the ground.

SCENE 2 Big Bird returns with a STOP sign, which he instructs Sir John to read when he starts clucking. It seems to work, but ultimately fails. He leaves to get help from a grown-up: Maria.

SCENE 2 cont'd "This is the price I pay for my genius!" Sir John cries, when he's suddenly approached by a chicken. He tries to explain he's not really a chicken, but decides to just go home and take a nap, thinking he'll be fine when he wakes up. Big Bird brings Maria out to the yard where they see the chicken, which Big Bird believes is Sir John!
SCENE 3 Big Bird has Maria dress as Sir John, thinking it'll make him remember how to be himself, though Maria insists the chicken is an ordinary bird. Maria does a few impersonations of Sir John, but nothing works.

SCENE 4 Big Bird remembers he's multi-lingual and communicates with the chicken to help it remember its true identity. The chicken responds that they're not Sir John, making Big Bird think the case is worse than he thought. Big Bird thinks he can stump it by asking it to lay an egg, and when it can't, the chicken will realize his true identity. The chicken lays an egg on the spot, convincing Big Bird his theory is wrong. But, then where is Sir John?
Animation The word EGGS is shown, followed by eggs frying in a skillet.
(EKA: Episode 3045)

SCENE 5 Sir John returns from his nap, still unable to stop pretending to be a chicken (even his dreams were affected). Big Bird realizes the solution: pretend to not be a chicken! Sir John prepares himself and finds himself back to normal. He must leave for Paris to star in a production of Bus Stop (starring as the bus), and Big Bird becomes sad when he's gone. Maria, still in costume, tries to fill in and announces the sponsors to a receptive crowd.
