Picture Segment Description
COLD OPEN The Martians discover the sponsors sitting on a brick wall.
These scenes would later be used as separate, stand-alone sketches.

SCENE 1 Roxie Marie comforts a sad Biff. The Martians appear on the fence and see he is sad as well. Elmo comes by and is told today is Biff's 40th birthday. He is sad that he has gotten so old, so Elmo and Roxie try cheering him up by throwing him a party. Biff bids them good luck, as do the Martians, who then vanish.

SCENE 3 Roxie presents Biff with a poem about him. Gina and the kids then bring a cake with 40 candles and sing "Happy Birthday to You." Biff is now cheered up and begins opening presents, while the Martians observe he is now happy from atop the fence before disappearing again.

Muppets / Cast Gordon reads the story of "The Turtle and the Rabbit." In the story, Preston Rabbit and Shelly the Turtle are about to have a race, when Benny Rabbit interrupts. He insists that there's no point to enacting the story, since the turtle always wins, until he finds it's a different story and rabbit could win. When the race starts, Benny gets in Preston's way with a talk about how proud rabbits everywhere will be, leaving Shelly to win the race.

SCENE 4 Biff finds one more present un-opened, from an unknown friend. He opens it and finds a new hammer, making him even happier. The Count announces the sponsors, which appear behind the fence as the Martians spy them. When the 16 plumets onto the fence, it causes them to fall off. They rise up and remark "Happy birthday!"
