COLD OPEN Big Bird tells the viewer he'll be playing with Joey and Davey Monkey, only he can't tell which is which.
SCENE 1 Big Bird doesn't think he can play with the monkeys because of how similar they look and points out how they look the same. Gina can tell them apart by their preferred drinks (Joey likes juice and Davey likes milk). Without the drinks, Big Bird can't tell who is who, so the monkeys come up with a plan.

SCENE 2 Davey and Joey show Big Bird some necklaces they have - a J for Joey and a D for Davey, which will help Big Bird know their names. Big Bird thinks he won't be able to see them from far away, so they produce even bigger letters. They've planned ahead further by getting very large letters, which are much more visible (and much more heavy). The monkeys come up with a different scheme.

Cartoon Lady Marple-Bug solves "The Case of the Four Fliers" by identifying that the bird doesn't fit in amongst the group of butterflies.
