Before they proceed, Gina rushes in to tell Jesse she'll be working at Hooper's Store if he needs anything. After he finishes reading the story, interlaced with still pictures from the book, everyone loves the book so much that they want their own copy. Luckily enough, Jesse has brought his own copies and hands them to everyone. | |

Linda suggests she take him on an outing, but initially refuses since she doesn't have his telephone number. Linda puts his library card and a telephone in front of her. Gina calls him, and asks if they'd like to get together. He invites her for a picnic in the afternoon, and the date is set. In the meantime, Elmo and Rosita request her to read the story to them. | |

They decide to go without them, but Jesse doesn't want to make them feel bad, saying there's no law for picnics to be for grown-ups. They invite them to come along. | |
