COLD OPEN
At the park, Elmo welcomes the viewers and introduces some segments in today's episode. Just then, Mr. Chatterly walks by and Elmo recognizes him from his favorite TV show, Alphabet Chat. He wonders why Mr. Chatterly is here on Sesame Street and goes to investigate.
3256b
SCENE 1
After much searching, Elmo finds Mr. Chatterly. Mr. Chatterly is delighted to see him because he has a question to ask Elmo. However, Elmo interrupts Mr. Chatterly by asking a lot of questions about what he's doing on Sesame Street. Mr. Chatterly answers Elmo’s questions and explains that he is arranging an Alphabet Chat on the Letter P and his special guest is Oscar the Grouch (who he refers to as Mr. Grouch) and his pet, Preposterous.

As Mr. Chatterly prepares to ask Elmo his own question, he asks Elmo if he has any more questions. Thinking that was Mr. Chatterly’s question, Elmo says he doesn’t have any more questions and then leaves before Mr. Chatterly can ask where Oscar and Preposterous live.
