Oscar reveals that he bought the newsstand so he can yell at subway riders and make them late for their trains. He points Gordon to the newspapers that don't have fish ... but mud.

SCENE 4 Oscar announces that there's no service on the A, B, C, D, E or F trains. Just then his mom comes flying out of the subway ("Now that's what I call an express!"). Oscar asks her what she's doing here, and she says she had to see personally that Oscar opened the newsstand. After confirming he did, and assuring her that he's doing it, not for the money, but to make people angry, for which she says she is very proud of him, he shows her the "closed" sign he made, which he uses to fool a customer (Fran Brill) -- but his scheme backfires. He feels like a failure, but his mom cheers him up.

Oscar's mother then congratulates him on making a customer really angry, then she leaves. Luis then remembers that he didn't read the paper yesterday, and thanks Oscar, who's glad that his mom didn't see that. Gordon announces the sponsors.
