He asks Mr. Handford if the store has any copies of Snow White and the Seven Potatoes and Little Red Rutabaga, neither of which can be found. The store does have a copy of Jack and the Beanstalk, which appeals to Chicago, since he likes beans, so Mr. Handford reads the story to him and Big Bird.

SCENE 2 Gina waits impatiently for her friend beside Oscar's trash can, and Oscar pops up when he notices how angry she looks that she's going to miss her movie. Right then and there, the scene becomes a ceremony for the "Grouchiest Grouch Awards," hosted by Grouch Valenti. The first award he gives out, the Angriest Grouch award, almost goes to Oscar, until Gina tells him to buzz off, which earns her the award. Oscar is appalled that she got the award, and throws a fit ("I was robbed! I'm the Grouch around here!").
