COLD OPEN | At the playground, Big Bird reminisces about the day the area first opened...
SCENE 1 | Today is the day the new playground opens on Sesame Street, around the corner. A horde of Muppets and kids assemble for the first visit, including Big Bird, Herry, Rosita, Telly, Ernie, Baby Bear, Zoe, Grover, Honkers, Roxie Marie, Merry Monster, Elmo, Buster, Betty Lou, Miles and Gabi. However, all of the adults are too busy to join them.
SCENE 1, cont'd | The group walks around the corner for the first time on the show. Angela and Jamal can't join them because they're taking Kayla to the pediatrician; Humphrey and Ingrid are working for Miss Netherland but Benny Rabbit says he'll join them later. Similarly, Ruthie is sorting out a shipment of elf and fairy shoes at Finders Keepers, and Celina has to give a dance class.
SCENE 1, cont'd | Instead of finding a playground, they arrive to see a huge brick wall marked "DANGER." Biff says that work is still being done and the group will have to wait somewhere else.
