They say hello to Ruthie and see some kids playing on a mattress. They're in a playful mood, so they play on the mattress too. As they walk past 123 Sesame Street, they find a basketball, so Gina challenges Savion to a game. Just as they are going to split up, she invites him into the store. | |
SCENE 1, cont'd | Gina picks up the phone and gets a disturbing call. It makes her furious. Savion quickly tells off the caller and hangs up. | |
SCENE 1, cont'd | Savion explains to a very disturbed and inquisitive Telly how there are "just some really stupid people in the world, who can't stand to see it when people of different races are friends." Telly finds it odd because of how so many different people, animals and monsters are great friends on Sesame Street. Gina asserts that she and Telly are best friends, and so are she and Savion. Then, because Telly is concerned, they explain what they would do if the person ever called the store again. | |
