SCENE 1
Today is the day the new playground opens on Sesame Street, around the corner. A horde of Muppets and kids assemble for the first visit, including Big Bird, Herry, Rosita, Telly, Ernie, Baby Bear, Zoe, Grover, Honkers, Roxie Marie, Merry Monster, Elmo, Buster, Betty Lou, Miles and Gabi. However, all of the adults are too busy to join them.



SCENE 1, cont'd
The group walks around the corner for the first time on the show. Angela and Jamal can't join them because they're taking Kayla to the pediatrician; Humphrey and Ingrid are working for Miss Netherland at the Furry Arms Hotel, but Benny Rabbit says he'll join them later. Similarly, Ruthie is sorting out a shipment of elf and fairy shoes at Finders Keepers, and Celina has to give a dance class.

SCENE 1, cont'd
Instead of finding a playground, the Muppets arrive to find a wooden barrier marked "DANGER." Biff says that work is still being done and the group will have to wait somewhere else. Aside, Roxie Marie expresses surprise that her uncle Biff was building the playground. Actually, he only built the wall.

SCENE 2
The gang still awaits the playground's opening. The Count arrives to count ballet jumps in Celina's dance studio. After that, he wishes for more jumps, so the group does jumps for him.

SCENE 3
Big Bird doubts that the playground will ever open, so he visits Ruthie in Finders Keepers. Ruthie introduces him to Little Green Riding Hood, who is angry about her her sister's fame. Little Green wants to deliver a basket of goodies to the President of the United States, but the food will spoil, as Ruthie explains, in the time it would take her to make an appointment to see him. Instead, she gives it to the crowd waiting outside.

SCENE 6
The Commissioner of Fun and Games (Madeline Kahn) arrives and orders everyone to stop playing. She can't give a dedication and a break her ribbon since everyone is already there. Big Bird suggests they make believe it's before, so she goes on. They all demand she amend her speech to include children, monsters, birds, beaws and woims. Once she cuts the ribbon, everyone is called for supper and can't play, including herself.

It's dark, and the adults take their turn in the playground. Oscar loves the playground because it's been keeping everyone away from his can. Meanwhile, as Luis reads the sponsors, Big Bird is glad that the grownups like it. A full credit crawl follows, even though it's a Monday.
