While Merry Monster plays the ukulele, Oscar introduces today's sponsors, and expects it to be a happy day, which he hates. Just then, a big loud truck rolls by, driven by a Grouch girl, who looks appealing to Oscar ...
Gordon comes by and asks Oscar who this new Grouch is and where she's from. Oscar makes it clear that he doesn't want to know, but the Grouch introduces herself anyway, as Prunella, from England. The truck she's driving is shaped like a large trash can, and happens to be her mobile home, which she's used to travel the world. Oscar asks her when she's leaving, and she answers that she's staying, to purposely annoy Oscar (and anyone else who gets in her way).

Meanwhile, Telly is the only one who could show up for today's Grouchketeer meeting. Telly asks about the new Grouch, and Oscar acts like he doesn't care about her. Regardless, Prunella talks about the last country she visited, Italy, showing a map of the country (which looks like an old boot), and a picture of her favorite piece of garbage: the ruins of the Roman coliseum. Gordon disagrees that it's garbage, pointing out that people from all over the world come to visit the historic landmark.
