Picture	Segment	Description
	SCENE 1	The Count welcomes the viewer to Sesame Street, and reveals that he's looking for something to count. He counts people coming down the stairs (Susan, Gordon and Maria), and promptly faints! They come to his aid, and he doesn't remember what happened before he fainted, but he still feels like counting. He counts some passing children, and faints again. When he comes to his senses the second time, he thinks it must be the Counting Flu. Maria goes to call the Count's doctor.

	Muppets	Kermit the Frog tries to explain the difference between happy and sad, two emotions which Elmo displays while trying to get Kermit to play with him.

	SCENE 2	Susan describes the Count's symptoms to Dr. Edwynn, and he examines the Count. When he asks the Count to count how many fingers he's holding up, he does so, and faints. He faints again when he hears what the cure for the Counting Flu is: no counting whatsoever.

	Film	Jerry Nelson sings "The Inside Story," which shows what's inside various household objects. (EKA: Episode 2795)
	Muppets	Bert goes to the park to practice his pigeon calls, but instead of attracting a pigeon that says coo, he gets a cow that says moo, an owl that says hoo, a number two, and an entire zoo.
	Cartoon	A map of Australia morphs into the shape of animals that are found there.
	Muppets / Celebrity	Telly hosts “The Wide Wide World of the World” with special guests from Australia, Mel Gibson and a duck claiming to be a duck-billed platypus.

	SCENE 3	The Count feels sad about not being able to count anything all day. Maria suggests that maybe she can count for him, which makes him happier. She starts counting nails, but he still faints.

	Muppets	Old West: Noel Cowherd challenges Billy the Grownup, the fastest draw in the west, to a "square fight" - seeing who can draw a square the fastest.

	SCENE 4	Susan and Gordon have lunch outside of Hooper's. Maria brings the Count over to them, and reports that things aren't going so well, because there's so much to count, including the chips in the bowl. Gordon thinks it will help if he's blindfolded and can't see anything to count, but he hears some Honkers honking, counts their honks, and faints.
	Animation	13 hamburgers dance around.
	Muppets	Prairie Dawn talks about three important parts of the face which are the eyes, the nose, and the ears, with assistance from Cookie Monster. Prairie agrees that cookies can be seen and smelled, but not heard - unless eaten by Cookie Monster. (EKA: Episode 2874)
	Animation	A Navajo blanket is formed as tribal music plays.
	Film	A child narrates a film of him and his brother, Andrew, taking a ride on the ferry. (EKA: Episode 2956)
	Cartoon	The detective sees a hippo bouncing on a trampoline, and wonders how the hippo can bounce, since hippos are heavy, but the hippo thinks that he is light. (EKA: Episode 2820)

	SCENE 5	The Count now has both a blindfold and earmuffs, so he can't see or hear anything to count. Yet, he imagines that he's not sick anymore, and can count the cracks in the sidewalk. Back in the present, he faints again, and the adults realize they can't blindfold his imagination.

	SCENE 6	At night, the Count wakes up from his nap and takes the blindfold and earmuffs off. He wakes up Maria, who was also sleeping. They both wonder if he's well again, and he puts himself to the test by counting the stars. He doesn't faint, which means he's cured! He continues to count the stars as Dr. Edwynn announces the sponsors.
