SCENE 1 Telly has trouble choosing whether he'd like to read or play ball in the park. Suddenly, a pair of triangles (Camille Bonora and David Rudman) show up and start singing in Telly's praise! They are drawn to him because they heard he's the greatest triangle lover in the world - but when they notice his baseball and his book, which are not shaped like triangles, they become offended and storm off.

SCENE 3 To help solve his sticky situation with the triangles, Telly enlists the help of Oscar, who's good at driving people away. Oscar suggests the use of his popular catch-phrases "scram" and "beat it". However, when the triangles approach Telly, he is unable to use those words with as much aggression as Oscar, but they pick up that he's angry, and are somehow attracted to his "anger."

He explains that "It takes a lot of shapes to make up the world," and he wants to be with all the other shapes, but he still wants to be friends with the triangles. They understand, and head home.

  • Scenes 2, 4, 5, and 6 have been used as stand-alone Muppet inserts in various international co-productions (including Plaza Sésamo, Sesamstrasse and Sesamstraat). Scenes 5 and 6 would be stripped of the bookending street sections. Scene 6's musical number was shown with extra footage at the beginning and end not used on the American broadcast.
  • Additional performers include Kathryn Mullen (Mama Count) and Jim Martin (Counts' family cow), with Martin P. Robinson (Papa Count). David Rudman and Alison Mork also perform the Count's cousins.
