SCENE 1 The Pigeon Sisters do some morning strutting and cooing, when Gordon shows off the trash bins the city has provided them. The Pigeon Sisters are disappointed he has bins and not buns.

SCENE 2 Gordon observes the litter and has a flash of inspiration - they can turn the vacant lot into a garden! He and the pigeons imagine what it'll look like, singing "I See a Garden."

SCENE 3 As the grown ups clean up the trash, Elmo and Big Bird arrive to help. Gordon tells them it's not safe for young birds and monsters and they become angry that they aren't allowed to help. They eventually understand that Gordon wants them to be safe, but still want to help. Mike starts feeling hungry, so Gordon sends the two to get food from Hooper's Store. The Pigeon Sisters perk up too, looking forward to the crumbs.
Cartoon On his way to the store, a boy gets distracted and remembers to buy different things.

SCENE 4 Everyone eats their lunch, as the Pigeon Sisters snack on the crumbs. They tell the group how the lot become such a mess in the first place - somebody threw a piece of litter first and soon, others followed suit until it was the heap it became. Gordon assures the pigeons that they'll make sure it doesn't happen again.

Cartoon Campers don't want to play ring toss with Zork, until their counselor reminds them about being judgmental.

Film A little girl narrates a film about how cans can be recycled. She washes them and collects them in a wagon, which she takes to the recycling center. There it is sorted and separated with a magnet. After it's loaded onto trucks, it is taken to a factory to be melted and shaped into new cans like the ones seen in her fridge at home.
