Picture Segment Description
SCENE 1 At Gordon and Susan's apartment, Preston Rabbit is excited because Susan’s mother, Dorothy, and father, Lee, are coming over for a visit, and they are going to give presents to Miles. However, Susan doesn’t think they might bring a present, but Preston thinks so because grandparents always bring presents. When Susan’s parents arrives, Preston asks if they brought presents for Miles. While Susan thinks it was rude to ask, Susan’s mother replies that they did, which makes Preston so happy that he jumps up and down.

SCENE 2 As Susan’s parents were chatting with Gordon and Susan, Preston asks when Miles was going to get his present. Gordon tells Preston that they just arrived, but Susan's father agrees with Preston and says that they should give the present to Miles now. The gift turns out to be a Dun Dun drum that came all the way from Africa where Miles’ great great grandma and grandfather come from. Preston replies that it is the same drum that Miles got for his birthday. Susan’s father doesn’t think it is the same because you can talk with the beats of the drum. When Miles show them the same drum, Preston thinks that Susan's parents have to bring the drum back to Africa. However, Susan’s father replies that Miles has two drums that can talk to each other and he has a conversation with his grandson through the drum beats.

SCENE 3 Outside on the steps of 123 Sesame Street, Preston ask Susan’s father if he brought a present for Susan. As it turns out, Susan’s father brought a present for Susan and hands her two sticks. While Preston doesn’t understand the present, Susan explains that they are musical bone instruments. She sings “Playing the Bones” as she remembers when she was little and her father played them. Susan's father tells Susan that it was her turn to play for him, but she has a hard time playing the musical instruments. Preston thinks Susan’s father should give her some lessons and her father agrees.
Cartoon "I Can Remember": A little girl remembers what to buy at the store (A loaf of bread, a container of milk, and a stick of butter) by visualizing her mother giving the instructions.

However, when he hears that Susan’s mother made the food for everyone, including himself, Preston considers it a present from Susan’s mother and can’t turn it down. He decides to try out this new kind of food.

When he finds she doesn’t, he recites one to her, which begins with "How do I love carrots? Let me count the crunch the ways ..." As Preston recites the poem, Gordon announces the sponsors. A credit crawl follows.
