Picture	Segment	Description
	SCENE 1	Telly hosts "Wide World of Sesame Street," a program which shows a day in the life of someone on Sesame Street. Today's protagonist is Gordon, whom Telly locates by calling him from a phone booth. Gordon says he has to leave in a few minutes, so Telly quickly runs after him when he does.
	Cartoon	The Bellhop must take ten terriers for a walk. (EKA: Episode 2624)
	Insert	Wanda the Word Fairy demonstrates the word TELEPHONE, but is unable to remove the word from the telephone booths. Later airings of this segment end after the word "STUCK," omitting the part where Wanda says "DARN IT!"
	Animation	A map of China morphs into the shape of animals and things that are found there.
	Film	College students volunteer at the San Francisco Children's Zoo, which has such animals as ferrets, opossums, and chinchillas. Music: Joe Raposo (EKA: Episode 2227)

	SCENE 2	"Wide World of Sesame Street" continues as Telly watches Gordon at the bus stop, waiting for the bus. Telly guesses that since it is a BUS STOP, the bus will come, and Gordon will get on it. However, when he turns out to be right, he rushes to catch up with the bus.
	Song	"There's a Lot of Different Ways to Get to School" (sung by Jerry Nelson)
	Cartoon	A runner leaps over letter H hurdles. (EKA: Episode 2682)
	Song	"Beautiful Baby" song, over footage of various babies and their parents. (EKA: Episode 2226)
	Muppets	Muppet & Kid Moment: Bert and Sherlock Hemlock ask John-John if he wants to count, and John-John enthusiastically rises to the occasion.
	SCENE 3	"Wide World of Sesame Street" continues: Telly has caught up with Gordon at a certain place - where is it? Telly points out a few clues - there are several kids here, all of whom have books, and they all appear to be going into a classroom. It is the school where Gordon, a teacher, teaches. The bell rings, and Telly tries to walk into the classroom, but the door shuts on him. Will he get inside? Stay tuned...
	Song	"At School," with animation bookended by live-action footage.

	Muppets	Clementine and Elmo sing a song about things that are "Important". (EKA: Episode 2702)
	Cartoon	The Ringmaster treats us to the balancing feats of ten brown bears. Artist: Jeff Hale (EKA: Episode 2403)
	Song	Everyone has the same feelings, "No Matter What." Kids of all types play with a huge beach ball.
	SCENE 4	"Wide World of Sesame Street" continues: Telly wants to get a glimpse of what goes on inside Gordon's classroom...but he can't reach the window. He tries jumping, but doesn't know how long he can keep it up.
	SCENE 4 cont'd	As Telly jumps outside the door, Gordon tells Mike to put his sandwich away until lunch, and announces to the class that he will show a film about volcanoes. He asks the class what they know about volcanoes, and Lisa jokes, "I'm glad I don't live next door to one!" Gordon asks for the lights to be switched off, and the window shades to be pulled.
	SCENE 4 cont'd	Meanwhile, Telly now stands on a crate to see through the window - but unfortunately, the shade is pulled over the window. "Something tells me this just isn't my day."
	SCENE 4 cont'd	Gordon shows a 16mm silent film of an active volcano, Mount Kilauea in Hawaii. He and the students comment during the film, and he answers their questions about volcanoes and how fast lava travels.

	Muppets	Little Jerry and the Monotones climb the "Mountain of Love."
	Film	A kindergarten class takes a field trip to the fire station. (EKA: Episode 1781)
	Cartoon	Two boys peek into a fire house, and write HAT, HOSE, and HOOK on the window using their breath. Two dogs come by and wonder what a HAT HOSE HOOK is, but their question is answered when the fire truck leaves the station. Artist: Paul Fierlinger (EKA: Episode 1575)
	Muppets	Ernie and Bert: Bert tells Ernie to make a grocery list, but Ernie can't find anything to write with...except for chocolate pudding. (Bert: "He's improving. Last time he used spaghetti sauce.") (EKA: Episode 2477)
	Animation	All, none, some and one fish swim around.
	Film	Seashells form various patterns in the sand. (EKA: Episode 2256)
	SCENE 5	"Wide World of Sesame Street" continues: Telly has made it inside Gordon's classroom. Gordon tells him he'll have to be quiet if he wants to stay with them. Telly wonders what would happen if everyone had a question at once, and Gordon explains that that's why you raise your hand if you have a question in the classroom. Gordon calls on Mike, and asks him what he thought of the volcano film. He says it made him hungry - "All the fire reminded me of a barbecue!" Everyone giggles, and then Telly asks how you know when it's time to go. His question is answered when the bell rings, and everyone packs up their bags and leaves.
	SCENE 5 cont'd	Once all the students have left, Telly goes over what he just learned today with Gordon. His last question is, "What's a volcano?" "Wide World of Sesame Street" will be back in a moment.
	Muppets / Celebrity	Randy Travis sings "You Gotta Ask Some Questions."
	Cartoon	A curious cat chases after a ball of string and explores various places in its home. (EKA: Episode 2238)
	Film	A girls' jump-rope team trains for a contest. They end up winning second place. (EKA: Episode 2596)

	SCENE 6	"Wide World of Sesame Street" continues still, as Telly watches Gordon pack his briefcase, erase the chalkboard, turn off the light, and lock the door as he leaves. Of course, he doesn't leave without letting Telly out of the room first. Telly signs off by announcing the sponsors.
