Picture Segment Description
COLD OPEN Elmo freezes the opening theme and appears over it, informing the viewer what the word important means and how we'll be seeing lots of important things today.
SCENE 1 Gordon show the viewer a photo of Miles on his first day of kindergarten, which he is off to have framed. He mentions that it means a lot to, prompting Elmo to pop up and repeat "Important!"
SCENE 2 Elmo visits Luis at the Fix-It Shop, where he reinsert a rod into a broken lamp. Elmo figures that it is an important piece and causes Luis to break it further with his exclamations.
SCENE 3 Elmo now wants to see if Gina has anything important. Gina points out that the bag of rags she's carrying isn't as she searches for the keys to Hooper's Store, where the phone rings inside. Gina is upset, because she probably missed a call from Mike. Elmo apologizes and Gina tells him that his kindness means a lot to her. "It's important!"
SCENE 4 Elmo observes Oscar, hoping he'll do something important. Oscar instead tells him to beat it. Since it would be a lot to him if Elmo did, Elmo declares this important!
SCENE 5 Gordon and Luis share photos of their kids, whom they consider to be important. They look around for Elmo to show up and he does, just a few moments later. He takes care of one last important thing - announcing the day's sponsors.
