SCENE 3 Telly asks Oscar the Grouch for help writing a poem. Oscar suggests he write one about Oscar moving away from Sesame Street so he doesn't have to hear Telly's poem. Telly gets sad writing the poem about Oscar leaving, so Maria suggests he write one about Oscar coming back. Telly is happy and wants to hug Oscar, who says he liked the sad poem better. Telly recites the sad poem again and gets sad, so Maria tells him to recite the happy one again. Telly finds a compromise and writes a poem about feeling sad when Oscar moved and hugging Maria to feel better. Both Oscar and Maria like that poem.
