	SCENE 1	The show opens with Gordon reading a newspaper on the stoop of 123 Sesame Street and welcoming the viewer to Sesame Street while Elmo runs around saying "ELMO GOT A LETTER! ELMO GOT A LETTER!" Elmo asks Gordon to read the letter to Elmo. The letter is from David. Gordon expalins to the audience that David left Sesame Street and moved to the country to take care of his grandmother. Then, Gordon reads the letter which says: Dear Elmo, How are you? Living on a farm is lots of fun. The country is beautiful, the air is fresh and clean, and there are more horses and cows than there are on Sesame Street. Love, David PS: Say hello to everyone on Sesame Street. Elmo thinks David meant that P.S. part, so he starts saying hello to Gordon and some kids walking by. Gordon tries to explain to Elmo that that was only an expression. But Elmo keeps saying hello to everyone he sees.
	Cartoon	A hand draws a farm backdrop for the animals. (EKA: Episode 0926)
	Muppets	Ernie and Bert cooperate to make Ernie's bed. Ernie notices that on his bed, which Bert is preparing, there is one side where the blanket is shorter than the other. Bert suggests that Ernie and him cooperate while making the blanket even on both sides, in the process the blanket is shorter at one side than the other. (EKA: Episode 1708)

	SCENE 2	Gina helps Hooper's Store's new owner, Mr. Handford, with the plumbing, while also explaining to the audience that David moved away. Elmo arrives to say hello to Gina and Mr. Handford, since he is saying "hello" to everybody.
	Cartoon	The word "YES" follows a man.
	Muppets	Director Kermit is making a western film with Forgetful Jones as the star. Forgetful is supposed to enter through the saloon doors and shout, "Everybody freeze!" Of course, he forgets this, and instead enters under, around and over the door. He gets the line right for the first three takes, but when he finally goes through the door: "Everybody ... frolic!"
	Animation	A set of blocks reveal a square, a triangle, and a circle.
	SCENE 3	After Mr. Handford finishes repairing the plumbing, he decides to take a nap in the Arbor area. He lays on a lawn chair, and Gina sets his alarm clock. Mr. Handford explains to Gina that he used to be a firefighter. He left the department, but soon became "tired of being retired" and bought Hooper's Store. Gina leaves so Mr. Handford can take his nap, but then Mr. Snuffleupagus shows up asking him to watch Alice Snuffleupagus while Snuffy plays with Big Bird. Mr. Handford tells Snuffy that he's planning on taking a nap, but Snuffy informs him that it's time for Alice's nap, too.

	SCENE 4	Mr. Handford tries to get Alice to fall asleep so that he can go to sleep. Meryl Sheep shows up and suggests that Alice count sheep, but Mr. Handford explains that Alice doesn't know how to count yet. Meryl suggests that Mr. Handford count with her, while Meryl jumps, until she gets tired of jumping after she jumped twelve times.
	Cartoon	Willie Wimple: Land Pollution (litter).
	Muppets	The Count counts as Suzanne Farrell spins around. Monsters offer her some flowers, and the Count counts the bouquets. (EKA: Episode 2073)

	SCENE 5	Mr. Handford reads Alice a story called "Big Red Barn" by Margaret Wise Brown to put her to sleep. It works...

	Cast	Big Bird sings the alphabet while Bob accompanies him on glasses of water. (EKA: Episode 2257)
	Film	Kids go roller-skating in a playground as ragtime music plays. (EKA: Episode 2269)
	Muppets	Grover plays the detective at his office. A frantic city gent (Brian Muehl) rushes over to warn him about something that's bothering him outside, which, unbeknownst to both of them, turns out to be a very strong wind that blows everything away ... including Grover's office.
	Cartoon	The Yellow Yahoo (First: Episode 0043)
	SCENE 6	...but then Barkley enters and barks loudly, waking Alice. Linda arrives with Barkley, and in sign language, asks Mr. Handford to watch Barkley. Barkley falls asleep, and Mr. Handford decides to play a game with Alice, demonstrating "same" and "different," comparing Alice (who is awake) with Barkley (who is sleeping), until Alice falls asleep. Just as Mr. Handford is finally free to nap, the alarm clock goes off, waking Alice and Barkley.
	Film	Boby parts song sung in Spanish.
	Muppets	Old West: Sinister Sam comes to the saloon, looking for Doc Holliday. He questions the frightened townspeople, looking for the doctor, but all he can find is a mailman and a fire fighter. Sam says they'd better find the doctor, because he's got an itchy trigger finger. The doctor is found, cowering under a table. The doctor asks what Sam wants with him, and the mean hombre says that his finger is really itchy -- it's driving him crazy. Is it a mosquito bite? Should he use some lotion on it? Doc Holliday faints. Sam shrugs, and joins the other patrons at the bar for some milk. (EKA: Episode 0700)

	SCENE 7	Mr. Handford later tries to teach Alice how to say his name, telling her to say "Hand" and "ford", but when she puts them together, she says "Handfoot". Gina announces the sponsors.
