Picture Segment Description
SCENE 1 Snuffy tells the viewer that Alice will be giving them the welcome today. They've been practicing a lot and finally finally greets the viewer, saying "Wigwamm-froo-SMOSSmee-Sreep!" Snuffy considers this a close-enough attempt and beams with pride. He has her do it again for Luis, who is left very confused.
SCENE 2 At Hooper's Store, Elmo has Gina help him demonstrate rhyming by placing items into objects they rhyme with (socks in a box and rag in a bag). He then orders some grapes in a bowl and milk in a glass, which Gina notes don't rhyme. Elmo states they're something yummy in his tummy.
SCENE 3 Alice is still proudly saying "Wigwamm-froo-SMOSSmee-Sreep!" over and over. Snuffy tries to get her mind off it with a round of "Three of These Things." He inadvertently reminds her of the welcome afterwards.
SCENE 4 Elmo happens by the Fix-It Shop, where Luis is quickly able to tell him how many miles away the Sun is, how many feet are in a mile and how many inches are in a foot. Elmo is amazed at how fast Luis was able to impart all that information, as Luis snaps for every "just like that" he says. Luis points out that know, Elmo posses the information and can share it just as quickly. Elmo is proud of this fact, but wishes he can snap as well as Luis too.
SCENE 5 Snuffy hopes the next event will make Alice forget about the welcome phrase, as Meryl Sheep takes to her lectern to recite a W poem. Unfortunately, it concludes with the phrase "Welcome to Sesame Street," setting off Alice once more.
SCENE 6 Snuffy has Alice say "bye-bye" to the viewer, which she now repeats over and over.
