From a cozy living room set, Buster the Horse and Gladys the Cow introduce their morning show and the topics we'll be seeing today.
|SCENE 1 cont'd||Buster then delivers the morning news. Today's top story come straight from the Fix-It Shop, where Big Bird has learned about the number 0. Buster conducts a satellite interview with Big Bird from outside the shop, where Big Bird demonstrates how he learned it. He tried counting to 0 using his 5 oranges, but they always totaled 5 no matter how he arranged them. He discovered that by putting them in a box one at a time, he could count down to 0. As Big Bird begins listing off the other things he can now count 0 of, Buster cuts to a report from Sal the skydiver...|

|SCENE 1 cont'd|| Millard Hog gives a half-birthday shout-out to young Hillary Honker before taking a look at the weather map. Millard notes a "wet front" on the map, as water drips profusely down the front of the map. He flips the map around, where he reports a "dry back."|

|SCENE 2|| From Bob's apartment, Bob and Uncle Wally give a shout out to Good Morning Sesame Street.|
Gladys shoos Buster off-set as she begins her segment on books. She repots that Luis has been reading an interesting book and shows the footage their crew shot down at the Fix-It Shop...
| ||Insert|| While fixing Big Bird's record player, Luis tells him of a story he's reading about Captain Swashbuckle, a pirate. He tells Big Bird a synopsis of what he's read so far, but Big Bird throws several ideas what happens next, such as Swashbuckle having run-ins with a giant fish and bird. Luis reads him the remainder of the story: Captain Swashbuckle is sailing in a storm, when Luis' phone rings, and he must put the story on hold. Big Bird then thinks up the obvious ending - the bad guys call Swashbuckle and call off the fight because of rain.|

|SCENE 2 cont'd|| Back in the studio, Big Bird joins Gladys for an interview. Big Bird had since been given the Captain Swashbuckle book to read and he's so engrossed in the book, he virtually ignores Gladys' questions.|

|SCENE 3||Buster introduces the entertainment news portion of the program, with anchor Flo Bear. She delivers the scoop on some new films by Mia Sparrow (It's Alive) and Sylvester Stone (Rock 10), conducting brief interviews with each star. After one last tidbit on the new Meryl Sheep flick (Come Back Little Sheep Baa), Flo throws to another break.|
|SCENE 4||Good Morning Sesame Street resumes, as Gladys teases some of the upcoming segments. Buster then throws the show to their on-location correspondent Kermit the Frog, reporting from Old MacDonald's farm...|
|Muppets|| Sesame Street News Flash|
Old MacDonald says a spaceship has landed on his farm. A dog emerges with a frisbee in its mouth, and MacDonald mistakes the frisbee for the spaceship. But before long, a real spaceship lands on the farm, and out of it come the Martians. The scene ends in chaos.

|SCENE 4 cont'd||Buster continues the news and presents some footage from earlier in the day, where Placido Flamingo unveiled his new artwork. For a small crowd of street residents, Placido announces he's painted a picture of "me," which turns out to simply be the word. Buster adds that the painting will be donated to the Nestropolitan Museum of Art, then teases another report from Millard Hog after this message...|
|SCENE 4 cont'd||Millard Hog shows that his weather map now has a hot top and a cold bottom, then cues another commercial break.|
|SCENE 5|| Gina now delivers a program ID from behind the counter of Hooper's Store.|
From the Critic's Can, Oscar will review a new movie starring Ernie and Bert. He first rolls the entire film for the audience...
|Muppets|| Bert wants to sort his paper clips, but he can't concentrate because Ernie is counting fruit. Bert decides to wait until Ernie is done. This proves to be a bad idea: after counting all of the fruit in the bowl, Ernie begins to count all the fruits of which he has zero.|

|SCENE 5 cont'd|| Oscar has four stars set out in his desk, intending to give the film a high rating. But, he finds different reasons for not completely enjoying it and subtracts one star at a time until he gives it a zero-star rating.|
