SCENE 1 In the early morning, an announcer introduces the first episode of "Dreams of Our Lives," a window into the dreams of the residents of Sesame Street. First up is Big Bird, still asleep in his nest. He dreams himself as a teacher, who teaches his Birdketeer students (Bob, David, Gordon and Uncle Wally) about the letter T and gets them to repeat the same tweets he makes.

SCENE 2 At Hooper's Store, Telly admits to David that he didn't get much sleep last night (worrying over whether or not he'll get any sleep). David asks him to answer the phone if it rings while he's in the basement. Telly soon falls asleep, cueing another chapter of "Dreams of Our Lives." Telly dreams that he's actually a telephone, with a set of dials on his chest. He finds it a fun experience when a Honker uses his to receive and make a call. Back in reality, David alerts Telly that his father is calling him on the phone and Telly tells the phone to keep up the good work.
