	SCENE 1	David is nervous about his first Spanish lesson with Luis at the Fix-It Shop, saying he is the worst person to try to teach a language to. Luis assures him that he will have fun, and tries to teach him "buenos días" but David keeps getting it wrong. Oscar comes in and asks Luis if he would watch Irvine for the afternoon. Luis says he is busy, but finally agrees. Oscar says that Irvine will enjoy watching David blunder around trying to do something he's not good at.

	SCENE 2	Luis tries to teach David how to say "Me llamo David," but David can't concentrate with Irvine laughing every time he makes a mistake. They try to find toys for her to play with, but she says "Blecch!" to each one. Luis finds a box of scrap wood blocks, which Irvine likes - after all, Grouches love trash. David continues trying to say "me llamo" while Irvine is preoccupied.

	SCENE 3	Mr. Snuffleupagus comes to drop off Alice and thanks Luis for agreeing to watch her while he goes to the park with Gina. Luis says they had agreed on tomorrow, but Snuffy explains he got mixed up; luckily, he thinks that Luis doesn't look too busy and leaves. Luis and David bring Alice over to play with Irvine, who says "Blecch!" They try to explain that Grouches say stuff like that all the time, but Alice turns it into a game, pretending to scram every time Irvine says it. The grown-ups return to the lesson.

	SCENE 4	Irvine and Alice continue their game as Luis gives David a sign reading "muchas gracias" to take home. He suggests David put it somewhere in his house and read it every time he sees it, and David is excited to learn such phrases he can say to Spanish-speaking customers at Hooper's Store. Snuffy returns to retrieve Alice, who greets him by saying "Blecch!" David assures Snuffy that she'll probably forget the word on the way home, but Snuffy says Snuffleupaguses never forget. Being a big brother isn't easy - not only does he have to teach her how to talk, he has to teach her how not to talk. Alice leaves with Snuffy, repeating the word "Blecch!" as Irvine gives a sinister giggle.

Oscar reminds them that it isn't finished yet as it needs that one last Grouch touch - Irvine knocks it down.

David and Luis say they didn't teach her anything, she just picked it up. Oscar tells them to be careful next time: "A smart little Grouch like her is gonna pick up whatever she hears!" Snuffy announces the sponsors as Irvine repeats the phrase "muchas gracias" while taking her blocks home.
