Hiroshi arrives wearing a sweater and a baseball cap, says hello, and wants a hamburger for lunch. Elmo doesn't believe he is Hiroshi from Japan, until he explains that Japanese people wear sweaters and eat hamburgers sometimes, too. | ||

But Elmo understands near and far--he is near Bob...then he runs to the other side of the arbor...and now he is far. To explain to Elmo that Japan is much farther than that, Hiroshi sings a song ("How Far Is Japan?" by Joe Raposo and Nancy Sans) about how long his airplane flight was. | ||
