SCENE 1 | Big Bird and the Birdketeers practice saying "congratulations" in different languages, including "mazel tov" in Yiddish (Mr. Hooper taught Big Bird that one) and "felicidades" in Spanish. When Maria and Luis invite Big Bird over for dinner, he asks when they are getting married; they remind him that they haven't decided to do so yet. When Maria asks him what he is doing, Big Bird explains that it's fun to say things in different languages... and so that he can say it to Maria and Luis when they get married. | |

Big Bird thinks they're getting married again, and they remind him that they're not and are just speaking hypotheticals. Big Bird asks why they even brought up the idea of a wedding just now, and Luis can't come up with an answer. Big Bird doesn't understand and says he thought they loved each other, and the couple says that they do. Big Bird also thought that they wanted to be together all the time, to share everything, and take care of each other; Maria and Luis, staring into each other's eyes, agree that they want to do all those things as well.
