Gordon and Miles observe him playing with it, and Gordon notices how he's typically put all the animals in zoo cages. Elmo is intrigued when Gordon tells him about the Bronx Zoo, where the animals get to roam free and the people can look at them at a safe distance. The three decide to visit the zoo.

He leads Gordon, Elmo, and Miles into a trolley car (nicknamed the "Bengali Express") where they watch animals such as the antelopes, Siberian tiger, elephants, and rhinos in their natural habitats. After the ride, Elmo likes how the people were in "cages" instead of the animals.
