SCENE 1 Dr. Nobel Price sleeps along the basement rail of 123 Sesame Street, allowing him to test a large machine he just invented: a "wake-up" machine. He shows Gordon how it works: a spool of thread is attached to the hands of a clock so that when the hands move, it lowers the string which is wired on a pulley, which will lower a lever and lift a feather to Dr. Price's nose, thus tickling him and waking him up. Gordon points out to the viewer that there's already such a simple invention - an alarm clock - when an actual alarm on the contraption rings. Dr. Price explains that the sound reminds him it's time to do his morning exercises.

Five people standing with their noses pointed straight up and looking wery silly!" He announces the sponsors, then runs for his life when they pursue him for his prank.
