	SCENE 1	Gordon welcomes the viewer to Sesame Street, and proceeds to explain that today is the one-year anniversary of the day he and Susan adopted Miles. They're going to throw a celebration for him later, "and you're invited."
	SCENE 1 cont'd	Gordon shows Big Bird, Telly, and Elmo a photo album of pictures of Miles from his first year on Sesame Street, including the day his parents brought him home, and the day he took his first steps.
	SCENE 1 cont'd	Big Bird marvels at the many things Miles has done this past year, such as eating, playing with toys, dancing, smiling ... the list goes on!
	SCENE 1 cont'd	Telly especially remembers the day Miles became a Grouchketeer.
	SCENE 1 cont'd	Susan comes outside with Miles, and tells Gordon they'd better practice their song for Miles' party. She goes on to say that everyone at this party is going to do something for Miles. Big Bird immediately feels obligated to contribute something to the festivities, and rushes off to tell Snuffy. Elmo follows along, and Telly runs off to practice his tuba solo.

	SCENE 2	Big Bird and Snuffy are debating upon which of them should portray Susan and Gordon in the play they're going to do. They then proceed to write the play, but get stuck on how exactly Miles came to Sesame Street. They ask Susan, and she explains the whole story.
	SCENE 2 cont'd	Finally, Big Bird asks whether he or Snuffy looks more like Susan.
	Song	"Beautiful Baby" song, over footage of various babies and their parents.

	Muppets	Ernie sings "Dance Myself to Sleep." (EKA: Episode 1707)
	Cartoon	A photographer shows off his first picture of cows, his next picture of ducks, and his last picture of a pig.
	Muppets	Grover the lumberjack thinks he is the first to arrive for supper, but he gets trampled by a gang of French-Canadian lumberjacks who get to the food table before he has a chance to get his snow boots off. By the time he finally gets them off, a grizzly bear grabs the last plate of food.

	SCENE 3	The scene begins with a close-up of the cake, zooming out to reveal a party going on. Hoots and the cats are playing some dance music while the guests are dancing. Maria tells Hoots to stop the music so that she can announce the festivities, and so that everyone can clear some space in the yard for the festivities to begin.
	SCENE 3 cont'd	Big Bird consoles a stage-frightened Snuffy beside Oscar's trash can. This segment was cut from the Noggin version.
	SCENE 3 cont'd	Some kids perform a few stunts for Miles, until Barkley interrupts the show. This segment was cut from the Noggin version.
	SCENE 3 cont'd	Big Bird consoles Snuffy some more, and tells Maria they're not ready yet.
	SCENE 3 cont'd	Susan and The Extremes (Gordon, Luis, Bob and Linda) perform a song, "You're My Baby (Baby Baby Baby)" for Miles.
	SCENE 3 cont'd	Big Bird looks around for Snuffy, who seems to be missing.
	SCENE 3 cont'd	Oscar announces that Slimey is going to perform two tricks: first he will dive into a can of mud (next to Oscar's temporary trash can). We don't hear Slimey land. Oscar keeps saying he's still falling. When Maria looks into the mud can to see if Slimey's okay, she gets an unpleasant surprise (the second trick!). "There will be a short intermission while I ... wash my face." This segment was cut from the Noggin version.
	Film	A montage of the evolution of mechanical technology, from wind-up toys, to robots that can spell "SESAME STREET" with blocks, to satellite transmitters. Music: "Portrait d'un robot", composed by Janko Nilovic

	SCENE 4	Telly and a group of Honkers (including Homer and Henrietta) perform a concerto.
	SCENE 4 cont'd	Snuffy feels guilty because he still has stage fright. Big Bird reminds him that if they don't do this play, Miles will never know how he got to Sesame Street! This renews Snuffy's confidence, and the show is ready to go on! Just as the cake is about to be cut, Big Bird announces that they're ready, and everyone gives them their space. Elmo pops up out of hiding.
	SCENE 4 cont'd	Big Bird, Snuffy and Elmo act out the story of Miles' adoption (with occasional audience participation). Gordon (played by Big Bird - "Make believe I have no feathers on top!") and Susan (played by Snuffy) wanted a baby, but they couldn't grow one in her belly. So, they decided to go to an adoption place, where they were introduced to an 11-month-old baby named Miles (played by Radar). But before they could take him home, they were asked a series of questions, such as: Are they nice people? Will they love the baby through good times and bad times? They answered yes to the questions, but the adoption agent (Elmo) still says they have to wait for a few days: "Don't call me, me call you!" So Susan and Gordon go home and wait a few days, and finally they get a call from the agent, who tells them to come back. When they do, he says they can have Miles! So they take Miles home, and "live happily ever after."

	Muppets	Ernie and Bert: Ernie has Bert play a "Follow the Arrows" game, which leads him to the main camera, looking at the TV viewer. (EKA: Episode 1709)

	SCENE 5	Finally, everyone gathers around the table and cuts the cake. Then Gordon re-introduces Miles to his grandparents, who begin to sing "We're a Family," leading to everyone joining in, backed up by Hoots and his band.
