He gets up and notices that the Fix-it Shop is open and the light is on - he knows it's supposed to be closed. He goes over to investigate, and before Hoots can tell him what's going on Big Bird tries to guess what happened. Maybe a big gust of wind opened the door, or maybe some Martians are looking for Maria? He throws his blanket over what he assumes to be a Martian when they exit the shop, but is actually Maria.
