Picture Segment Description

SCENE 1
Everybody on Sesame Street prepares for Miles' arrival in their own ways. David orders extra diapers at Hooper's Store, while Maria and Luis set up a play pen by the tire swing.

SCENE 1, cont'd
Meanwhile, Oscar tells Irvine that she'll soon have a new grouchy baby to play with, and that Slimey's baby sister Stella will be able to join them too. Irvine makes a fuss at the thought, as is natural for a Grouch baby.

SCENE 1
cont'd
Meanwhile, Big Bird and Telly prepare a surprise party for Miles, using some of Snuffy's enormous baby toys. Big Bird goes over the "surprise" procedure with Telly, but then Telly wonders if Snuffy's old toys are too big for Miles - after all, Snuffleupagus babies are bigger than human babies. Big Bird reassures him that Miles is 11 months old by now, so he's bigger than a newborn baby. He then proceeds to explain the adoption process to Telly.

SCENE 1
cont'd
Big Bird spots Susan and Gordon getting ready to pick up Miles, and thinks he should ask them if Miles can come to the party - "I'll tell them it's for a game of Mahjong. They'll never guess."
Big Bird encounters them getting their pictures taken by Olivia, for the baby book. When Big Bird asks if Miles can just stroll over to his nest area, Gordon explains that Miles isn't old enough to go places by himself. Big Bird then runs off to check on something. As they get in the car, Gordon and Susan remark that Big Bird is acting strange.
SCENE 1

SCENE 2
Big Bird and Telly prepare birdseed punch for their guests, and use up all the birdseed. Telly worries that Susan and Gordon will run out of love, just like they can run out of birdseed. Big Bird says that's ridiculous -- love isn't like birdseed -- but he promises to ask Susan and Gordon about it.

SCENE 3
Telly still waits for Big Bird to come back with the answer. Meanwhile, Big Bird tries again to ask Telly's question, while Miles gets a bath.

SCENE 4
Telly meets Slimey's baby sister Stella, and is enchanted with her. Oscar says that maybe now Telly can be Stella's friend, instead of bothering Oscar. Telly realizes that he'll still love Oscar just as much, but now he has some new love for Stella. Now he understands that Susan and Gordon will do the same. "Oh, Oscar!" he cries passionately, "Love is not like birdseed!"

SCENE 4
cont'd
Gordon and Susan watch Miles as he sleeps. Big Bird tries once again to ask the question, but they tell him to be quiet. Big Bird decides that maybe they are too busy to love him now.

SCENE 4

Gordon realizes that Big Bird is worried, and he takes him outside to talk about his feelings. Big Bird finally asks the question, and Gordon answers by singing "I'll Never Run Out of Love." When the song is done, Gordon explains that time is also an issue, and he may not have as much time to see Big Bird as he used to.
