Bob introduces Bernie to Oscar the Grouch. Bernie is a piano tuner, so Oscar hires him to give his piano a "tune down". When Grungetta arrives for a visit, she hears the "beautiful" music Bernie is making, and falls head over heels over him. Oscar is distraught, fearing that he may lose his best friend. He talks Olivia into going out with Bernie. Not knowing that Bernie is not a grouch, Olivia ends up dressing in ratty clothes and a frizzy green wig.
