SCENE 1 Big Bird welcomes the viewer, eager to play ball with Luis. He arrives at the Fix-It Shop, where Luis is doing some work in the back room. Big Bird yells for him to hurry so they can play baseball. Luis then has an accident and emerges from the back, feeling he may have broken his arm. He orders Big Bird to get David, as Gordon arrives as well. They all pack into Gordon's car to go to the emergency room, but Gordon tells Big Bird to stay on the street. Big Bird begins to fear that this was all his fault.

He starts to feel better and wonders how Luis is, so Susan tells Big Bird what's going on at the hospital right now...
