SCENE 1 Aunt May plays “The Reville” on the bugle to wake everyone up. Though Big Bird and the kids get up on time for breakfast, Rusty would rather sleep. Mickey convinces Rusty to get out of bed.

SCENE 2 After breakfast, Mickey leads Big Bird and the kids to a baseball field to play baseball. Big Bird doesn't want to play because he doesn't know how to play. Still, they have him play in the outfield, where he eventually hits a home run.

SCENE 3 It’s rest period, but since none of the campers feel like taking a nap, Mickey offers them postcards to write home. Big Bird asks Mickey how to write a postcard to someone. Back on Sesame Street, Maria, on her lunch break, writes a postcard to Big Bird. They both sing "I Am Fine, How Are You?" while writing to each other.

SCENE 5 Nighttime - Big Bird is homesick and imagines what Maria and Mr. Hooper are doing. Mickey tells him it's okay to cry. Rusty is homesick too, so they cry together.

Muppets Ernie sings "Dance Myself to Sleep".
Ernie sings about how he sometimes has trouble falling asleep, but when this happens, he does a special dance to get to sleep. The musical number progresses and soon he is accompanied by some dancing sheep. All the while Bert is complaining and telling Ernie to go back to bed. By the end of the song, the sheep have taken Bert and his bed outside, and Ernie is snuggled down in bed.

SCENE 6 “Taps” is being played by Aunt May on the bugle, which means lights out. Although a big day is planned for tomorrow, Big Bird and Rusty talk for a little bit and then get tired and fall asleep in Cabin 10.
