SCENE 1 Olivia greets the viewer and reports that David's grandmother Harriet will be visiting from the country. Oscar will return any minute in his taxi with her. Once they arrive, Grandma shows Olivia all vegetables she's packed; every one of her many suitcases is filled with vegetables. Olivia makes her realize that she neglected to pack any clothes or toiletries, so she and Oscar must drive back to the country. Oscar bemoans another trip, but looks forward to sitting in traffic.

He believes that if Grandma and her vegetables are nearby, people will bother her instead of him. He's proven wrong, when locals ask him questions about the new stand.

SCENE 3 Oscar has painted a nice "Vegetables" sign for Grandma's stand, believing it will send a clear enough message to anyone looking for it (meaning he can be left alone). When Grandma goes to show Olivia, a young Muppet boy, Richard, happens upon the stand. He's able to recognize the "V" in the sign, but can't read the rest of the word. He knocks on Oscar's can to ask about it and Oscar angrily tells him what the sign says. Richard wonders how vegetables can make Oscar so upset.

She's unable to break his dollar and Oscar goes berserk when Big Bird knocks on his can to get some change.
