Olivia and Maria travel to Puerto Rico to visit Maria's family to celebrate her birthday. Big Bird and her other friends from Sesame Street secretly follow them...

	COLD OPEN / SCENE 1	Maria is excited that, for her 21st birthday, she's going to Puerto Rico, where she grew up. Olivia is going with her, to keep her company. Big Bird sees them off, and Maria tells Big Bird she's sorry he couldn't come, and Olivia quickly stops him from giving any signs that he will.
	SCENE 1 cont'd	Big Bird, Bob, David, Linda, Gordon and Susan bid Maria and Olivia farewell as they board the bus to the airport. Once the bus is out of sight, they happily grab their own luggage and prepare to follow them -- all except for Gordon, who isn't going with them.
	SCENE 1 cont'd	Oscar pops out of his can after he hears Bob say, "This'll be the greatest trick we ever played on anybody!" Oscar, who loves tricks, wants to be in on this one, so he asks Gordon to lower his trash can to the ground so he can take the next bus to the airport. Oscar says as he walks away, "I don't know what the trick is, but I don't wanna miss it!"
	SCENE 1 cont'd	A series of aerial shots of Puerto Rico, followed by a montage of Olivia and Maria arriving and taking the bus to their destination while getting a glimpse of the scenery -- set to a Spanish version of the "Sesame Street Theme". A portion of this scene was cut from the Noggin version.
	SCENE 1 cont'd	Maria and Olivia arrive at their destination. Maria's family greets them with open arms.
	SCENE 1 cont'd	As they walk through the courtyard, Maria says to Olivia, "I wish everyone from Sesame Street could be here with us." Little does she know that wish is about to come true. Olivia winks at the camera.
	SCENE 1 cont'd	The rest of the gang arrives in Puerto Rico, getting off at the same location that Maria and Olivia got off. Big Bird tries to get Maria's attention, but David quickly shushes him since he does not want him to spoil the surprise for Maria until they arrive at the party.
	SCENE 1 cont'd	Oscar: "Yuck! All that traveling just so we could play hide-and-seek!"

	SCENE 2	Olivia is excited about taking many pictures of the colorful Puerto Rican surroundings. Maria points to the house she grew up in.
	SCENE 2 cont'd	Maria's family offers them many things at once - food, drinks, even a boat ride. But Maria, weary from traveling, suggests to them (in Spanish) that they all sit down and rest for a while.

	SCENE 3	Big Bird and the rest of the Sesame Street gang are taking a walk downtown. Big Bird wishes they could see Maria now, but Susan tells him they'll have to wait until later, and suggests they all split up and hide. This part of the scene was cut from the Noggin version.
	SCENE 3 cont'd	Meanwhile, Maria and her cousin are taking a walk downtown with Olivia. Maria thinks she sees Susan, but it's only someone who looks like Susan.
	SCENE 3 cont'd	After they leave, Susan thanks her "stunt double."
	SCENE 3 cont'd	Maria thinks she sees Luis and David, but again, it's only two lookalikes. Olivia says, "You've just got David on the mind..."
	SCENE 3 cont'd	The real Luis and David don't show up again until Maria leaves.
	SCENE 3 cont'd	Maria: "Oh no ... Olivia, I just saw Big Bird. Now take a look and don't tell me he's not there."
	SCENE 3 cont'd	After they leave, Olivia waves at Big Bird, and he thanks "Pepe" the rooster.

	SCENE 4	Oscar isn't too happy with his experience in Puerto Rico so far. But then he notices a pair of eyes peeking out of a nearby trash can to where he has stopped. These eyes belong to Osvaldo, el Gruñón.
	SCENE 4 cont'd	Osvaldo explains that he's getting ready for a stroll in the morning rain, and Oscar is delighted to hear that it rains in such a sunny place as Puerto Rico. When Oscar asks if he can join, Osvaldo snaps, "¡NO!" and shuts his can. Oscar remarks, "I think this is the beginning of a great friendship!" and chases after Osvaldo's rolling can.

	SCENE 4 con't d	The rain has begun and Oscar delights in every aspect, from the leaky gutters to the miserable people rushing to get dry. This scene was cut from the Noggin version.
	Muppets	Simon Soundman goes to Marvin's Music City to buy a nice shiny trumpet. However, Marvin keeps bringing the wrong instrument. (EKA: Episode 0681)

	SCENE 5	Back at the old house, everyone is setting up for the big party. Maria is so excited, she decides to call someone back home on Sesame Street. The first person that comes to mind is David. After she goes for the phone, David comes out of hiding and summons the rest of Maria's friends.
	SCENE 5 cont'd	Maria waits for someone to pick up the phone as her friends (whom she thinks are back home) sneak past her.
	SCENE 5 cont'd	Maria comes back outside, feeling down because no one would answer the phone. She turns around, and gets the biggest surprise of her life when she sees her friends standing there! Everyone gathers around her and sings "Happy Birthday" to her. Overwhelmed and overjoyed, she laughs, "I think you're all crazy!" Note: that was an ad-lib by Sonia.
	Animation	Arthur and Annie look for the letter A, while a shadowy figure observes all the A words they say. Voices by Jim Thurman
	SCENE 6	The children have a good time at the party as Spanish music is played.
	SCENE 6 cont'd	Oscar is disappointed to learn that he participated in a nice trick on someone. Maria gives Oscar a kiss.
	SCENE 6 cont'd	Luis sings a song with the band.
	SCENE 6 cont'd	The birthday cake is brought out as everyone sings "Happy Birthday" in Spanish. Maria blows out the candles, and the children dance in celebration.
	SCENE 6 cont'd	Oscar announces the sponsors. "And I've been suckered again!"
	CLOSING SIGNS	The Sesame Street and CTW signs are shown fading in and out on a blue background outside Maria's house.
