SCENE 1 David is surprised to see that Oscar has gone into the fruit-selling business (as evident by his "Farm Fresh Fruit" sign on his trash can), and is further baffled that Oscar's fruit has no defects or worms. David gives into his curiosity and asks for a grapefruit, some grapes, and a couple of apples. Oscar hands them over, and though they are indeed fresh they are also individually wrapped; even every grape is covered in tin foil. When David inquires why, Oscar says that once David finishes unpacking all his food, the trash will go right to him!
