SCENE 1 Linda, Bob, David, and the kids greet the Little Theatre of the Deaf (Candy, Pat, CJ, Janice, and Michael) as they arrive on Sesame Street. Candy, a hearing member, explains that they got held up at a railroad crossing and describe what they witnessed. They then show what they saw via interpretive dance as Candy narrates with the poem Crossing by Philip Booth. They end the poem with the "train" heading into Hooper's Store, where David invites them all for drinks.

SCENE 2 The LTD members decide to do an imaginary car ride, asking a kid named Ralph if they can use the wheelchair he's in for the wheels. Ralph joins the group in forming part of the car, with the others as the driver, steering wheel, and back seats (with a couple of kids as passengers). The others wave goodbye to them during their trip down the sidewalk, stopping temporarily to get some gas from the pump (played by Linda).

SCENE 5 Candy uses her fingers to "walk" into Michael's arms positioned as a pretend rocket ship; CJ gives the countdown. Everybody pretends that the rocket blasts off into space before the LTD switches to portray the inside of the rocket, picking up Debbie and another kid and moving them around to simulate low gravity. Finally, the group uses their hands and fingers to simulate the capsule's splashdown back to Earth and the retrieval from a helicopter. "Another successful mission!" David declares as the group waves goodbye to the astronauts.
