Notes[]

  • This is the second time someone else, instead of Kermit, says, "See you next time on The Muppet Show!" at the end of the episode. The first time was episode 111. In this episode, Peter Ustinov says it in his Kermit impression.
  • For the French dub Le Muppet Show, Peter Ustinov redubbed his own voice.
  • This is the first episode not to feature a Talk Spot, though on set photos indicate one was filmed, but cut from the final broadcast.

Miss Piggy tells Kermit that her heart is going "pitter-patter" over being so near to the man she has loved for years. Kermit soon finds out, though, that she is actually speaking of their guest star, Peter Ustinov. After all, he is a Renaissance man and Kermit is only a leg man.
112labs

112fozziekermit
Fozzie Bear enters backstage looking for Peter. He explains to Kermit how appearing with Peter in a sketch is the highlight of his career. Last week, as Kermit points out, Fozzie said appearing in a sketch with him was the highlight of his career. Fozzie states simply, "I was wrong."
