SCENE 1 Count von Count assembles David, Olivia, and Mr. Hooper out near the stoop. The group complains that it's four in the morning, but the Count needs their help showing "next to." David exclaims, "You're flipping your monocle, man!" and the Count explains why he needs to do so early: his bat Luba only works nights. Luba flies next to each of them (though the others are slightly creeped out by her) and the tree nearby. She and the Count head home after seeing everyone else has fallen asleep.

SCENE 3 Mr. Hooper is about to hang up his laundry on the overhead washline when Big Bird enters. He also has something to dry - a pair of pajamas, but he doesn't think there will be enough room on the line. Mr. Hooper is certain one pair of pajamas, even as big as Big Bird's, won't create an issue and tells him to hang them up while he answers a gag call from his cousin Hymie. Mr. Hooper exits the store and sees a giant pair of pajamas taking up the entire clothesline. Big Bird claims they belong to Mr. Snuffleupagus.
