Clues
Muppets Kermit's Lectures: Kermit talks about clues. He shows that a boy has grown some carrots because he has garden tools, a watering can, and a packet of seeds. Next, he confirms that a man has built a birdhouse because of his blueprints and carpenter's tools. When he notices Beautiful Day Monster with a suitcase and an umbrella, Kermit assumes that the monster is going on a trip and using the umbrella as protection from the rain. The monster corrects him; he's planning to eat his umbrella, and uses the suitcase to carry the ketchup he'll use to eat it with.

Whomadethismess
Insert Mr. Hooper, Luis, Maria, David and Bob all throw a small amount of litter on the ground, adding to the street's filth. When a voice (Jerry Nelson) asks "Who made this mess?" each one of them denies that it was them, saying they only dropped a small amount of garbage on the street. Soon, however, they realize that they each contributed to the mess in one way or another and pick up what they dropped. The voice then tells them to put the trash in a trash can instead of on the ground.

SCENE 1 Big Bird and Mr. Snuffleupagus look at photos of Big Bird's family in his album. Snuffy doesn't have photos of his extended family, as they all live out in Hawaii. Big Bird tells him of their upcoming trip and invites him along, but Snuffy doesn't have a cent to his name. He describes what he's been told about Hawaii as video footage plays of the Hawaiian landscape and kids swimming in the water. Snuffy now realizes that he feels blue since he's homesick for someplace he's never been.

SCENE 2 Big Bird hopes to cheer Snuffy up by placing some coconuts in a tree, along with a necklace of flowers (still in their pots) and playing some hula music on his phonograph. Everyone finds his plan ridiculous and drags him off to Hooper's Store to talk about it. Snuffy arrives once they're gone and sees all the Hawaiian accouterments. He especially likes the coconuts and wants to try them, but they're out of reach. He sings about imagining a "Coconut Tree" while dancing around, with the ground shaking enough to loosen all the coconuts off the tree.

SCENE 3 Everyone explains to Big Bird how silly his actions were (despite the audible crunching Snuffy makes while eating the coconuts), and the weight of the fruit might cause damage to the tree. Big Bird realizes this and runs off to remove his things but the Snuffleupagus is already gone, having left to take a nap at Big Bird's nest. They see all the coconuts have already been taken and wonder how it happened. "Well, I think I could tell you," Big Bird innocently says, "but you'd never believe me. Who's being silly now?"
