He's brought all the supplies for Mr. Hooper to use, but Big Bird wants his present to be absolutely perfect and constantly points out Mr. Hooper's every movement, worrying about how he folds and wrinkles the paper and asking if his hands are clean.

Big Bird tells him to then open it up - the present is for him! The storekeeper rips his hard work apart to get into the box, which contains a pair of Big Bird-sized sunglasses. He tells Big Bird he likes them, so Big Bird asks him to stay put as he zips off to get something.
