She asks Mr. Hooper if he needs a cow and despite her claims of strong recommendations, he turns her away. "What would I do with a cow?" he asks the viewer with puzzlement.

SCENE 2 cont'd Big Bird comes down the block looking for a flock of pigeons he made a playdate with. He bumps into the cow, who starts cooing and claiming she's a pigeon. Big Bird finds this ridiculous and points how all the ways she's different from your standard pigeon. Even though she gives an attempt at flying ("Pigeon to control tower!"), Big Bird too gives her the brush off. The cow resigns back to probing Variety and muses, "Maybe I could get a job in summer stock."

SCENE 3 Oscar is in a dour mood; not only have the sanitation men taken away one of his cans filled with precious trash, but Slimey ran away from home. The cow overhears this and offers her services as his new worm ("I'm from Texas," she says to explain her large size). Oscar reminds her that worms don't talk and move about by squirming. The cow silences herself and contorts herself to move like a worm. She then tries to burrow into the concrete sidewalk, but Oscar tells her that Slimey usually burrows into a pot of dirt, which he'll then eat. This is enough to drive the cow to seek employment elsewhere, though Oscar admits he liked "that big worm."

Muppets Kermit's Lectures: Grover helps Kermit demonstrate "long" and "short" by picking up a short ladder. Then Kermit says he'll help Grover bring in a long ladder, but Grover says he'll get it alone. He carries the long ladder past Kermit, who's amazed that Grover can get it all by himself. When the other end of the ladder passes by, Grover is holding that end too.
